Across India, especially in Maharashtra, devotees welcomed Lord Ganesha on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi with grandeur and devotion. In Ulwe, Congress Raigad District President and International Labour Leader Mahendra Gharat celebrated the arrival of Lord Ganesha at his residence, ‘Sukhakarta’, on Wednesday, August 27.
The celebration began with vibrant rangolis, exquisite floral decorations, and the rhythmic beats of traditional instruments. Mahendra Gharat along with Shubhangi Gharat performed the rituals and welcomed Ganpati Bappa into their home. The family performed abhishek at 11 am followed by a devotional aarti.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahendra Gharat said, “Lord Ganesha has blessed me abundantly. By his grace, I successfully completed the sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra for the second time. I consider myself truly fortunate. Anyone who visits ‘Sukhakarta’ will never leave empty-handed. I pray that Lord Ganesha continues to guide me in fulfilling the dreams of those in need.”
Marking the auspicious beginning, Gharat also gifted a brand-new scooter to his long-time associate Balkrishna Mhatre from Ovale village. The scooter was worshipped at the ‘Sukhakarta’ premises before being presented.
The event was attended by Sonali and Mayuresh Chaudhary, Kunal Gharat, Sejal Gharat, along with other family members. Devotees can visit and seek blessings of Lord Ganesha at ‘Sukhakarta’ until September 2.
