Indusfood Manufacturing 2026 and FoodTech 4.0, two major platforms dedicated to advancing food processing, packaging automation, and manufacturing technologies, were inaugurated on 6 January 2026 at Yashobhoomi, IICC, New Delhi. The event reflects India’s growing commitment to a technology-driven, export-oriented food ecosystem under the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
Organised by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), the launch brought together government leaders, tech innovators, international delegates, industry experts, and policymakers to showcase next-generation solutions for food processing and allied sectors.
The event was inaugurated by Avinash Joshi, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India, who emphasised the importance of value addition, quality enhancement, and technology adoption across the food value chain. He highlighted India’s surplus agricultural production, robust manufacturing base, and young, skilled workforce as key drivers for transforming food processing into a powerhouse of employment and exports.
“India today has surplus agricultural production, a strong manufacturing base and a young, skilled workforce. The opportunity before us is to further strengthen food processing through value addition, quality enhancement and technology adoption so that we create employment, increase farmers’ incomes and expand exports,” Joshi said
The inauguration saw participation from leading figures such as Mohit Singla, Chairman of TPCI; Yashvir Singh, Economic Adviser, Department of Commerce; international delegates including Volker Klima from the German Embassy; and industry leaders such as Vikas Kanungo from the World Bank Group.
Over several days, Indusfood Manufacturing 2026 and FoodTech 4.0 will host live showcases, business interactions, and strategic discussions blending cutting-edge technology with policy initiatives — creating fertile ground for innovation, investment, and collaboration in India’s food tech sector.
This event aligns with India’s broader goal of leveraging technology to enhance food value chains, boost farmers’ income, and accelerate export growth — key pillars of the country’s economic roadmap
