Superstar Hrithik Roshan believes his upcoming release War 2 will be a once-in-a-lifetime cinematic experience for audiences across the globe. Set to release worldwide on August 14, the high-octane action thriller will see Hrithik reprise his iconic role of Kabir, this time locking horns with pan-Indian superstar NTR in a brutal and intense showdown.
Hrithik draws parallels between the love he received for Kabir in War and the adulation he enjoyed in earlier blockbusters.
“The love and appreciation I got when I played Kabir in War reminded me of the love I got in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, in Dhoom 2, and Krrish,” Hrithik shared. “This time, Kabir is more intense and in a greater dilemma—very, very emotional. War 2, I think, is going to be something unmissable.”
The actor also revealed that making War 2 came with physical challenges. Having overcome significant injuries during the shoot, Hrithik admitted that the process was grueling but rewarding.
“It was difficult to push through pain and injury. We worked very, very hard. All the pain while filming War 2 made me wonder, is it worth it?—but when I see the love for it, of course, it is worth it,” he said.
War 2 is the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, following a string of blockbuster hits. The film promises breathtaking action, emotional depth, and a showdown that could set new benchmarks for Bollywood thrillers.
