It is funny to see how the problem of hawkers never seems to resolve. Every now and then there is a a drive to clear them off, and they are back without any trouble. Why? Well, because the authority only carries out such drives when the complaints mount up. It is kind of an appeasement for the local residents, who rejoice in the fact that the authority did take action. But does it solve anything? It never does! Why? Because there has to be solid solutions, and not temporary drives!
