Mercii, the luxury European fine-dining restaurant co-founded by Arpita Khan Sharma, has completed its first year, emerging as one of Mumbai’s most popular celebrity-favourite dining destinations. Opened in partnership with Gaurav and Ketul Parikh, and Anuj and Vicky Chugh of Richboyz Hospitality, the restaurant entered the market with an understated approach, quickly gaining momentum for its refined ambience, elevated food philosophy and consistent guest experience.

To celebrate its first anniversary, Mercii has curated a three-day entertainment lineup that reflects the energy the restaurant has built over the past year. The celebrations begin on November 27 with a nostalgic and emotionally driven set by DJ Chetas. On November 28, Sexy Beach Entertainment takes over to bring a high-energy, immersive experience to guests. The finale on November 29 is designed as an unscripted night, encouraging patrons to define the mood and spirit of the evening—mirroring how regular guests have shaped the restaurant’s identity since its launch.

Speaking on the milestone, Arpita Khan Sharma, Co-Founder of Mercii, said, “For us, Mercii was never just a place to eat. It has always been about how food makes you feel. This anniversary is not about completing a year—it is about knowing that this space now holds emotion and belonging.”

A key contributor to Mercii’s success is Chef Beena Noronha, whose European x Nikkei culinary direction has created a distinctive flavour profile. Signature dishes such as the Scallop Tiradito, brie and pear salad, colourful sushi rolls, smoked duck croquettes, prawn dumplings and the theatrical Cabbage au Flambé have become guest favourites. Pasta offerings including rosette ravioli in edamame sauce and amaranth cannelloni with caramelised onion have further strengthened the restaurant’s reputation for thoughtful craftsmanship. Desserts remain a highlight, with “The Pear” continuing to be one of the most talked-about items.

Co-Founder Gaurav Parikh added, “The goal was to maintain consistency—good music, good service and a good crowd every single time. This anniversary is our way of celebrating everyone who helped make it possible.”

Over the past year, Mercii has also received industry recognition, winning ‘Best Debutant Restaurant – Western Suburbs’ at the Easydiner Foodie Awards 2025.

As Mercii moves into its second year, the team aims to build on its momentum while strengthening its position as a must-visit dining destination in Mumbai.
