Uddhav Thackeray thanks all for echoing ‘Jai Maharashtra’ across state

In a passionate address that reignited the Marathi spirit, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray declared that the slogan ‘Jai Maharashtra’ has once again echoed powerfully across the state from the smallest villages to the bustling towns of Maharashtra.

Thackeray attributed this resurgence to the relentless efforts of the Shiv Sena and dedicated Shiv Sainiks, saying, “This slogan became loud again only because of Shiv Sena’s groundwork and our cadre’s dedication.”

But in a rare moment of political inclusiveness, he went on to appreciate the contribution of Marathi leaders and citizens from other parties who came together in this movement. “Regardless of political differences, many came forward in support of this Marathi identity, and I sincerely thank each one of them,” he said.

This statement comes amid rising political realignments and growing identity-based narratives across Maharashtra. Analysts believe this move by Thackeray is part of a wider strategy to rebuild his political base post the Shiv Sena split and appeal to Marathi voters across party boundaries.

With elections around the corner, such inclusive messaging and emotional connect could play a key role in shaping public sentiment in the state.
